Wishing everyone back home a Merry Christmas! You may be wondering if it at all feels like Christmas over here, and the answer is: No, it does not. But--Mom, Debbie, and Marilyn--the decorations (and goodies!) you have sent have helped bring a little cheer in this cheerless desert. Nothing beats being home during the holiday season, whether it be Washington, OK; Havelock, NC; Fredericksburg, VA; or even Slidell, LA. The photos below are pics taken in my new office in the HQ building in my new billet as the S-4 Actual. Since today is sleep-in Sunday, I will got into work around noon, then take off around 1700 (5:00 pm) for dinner at the Army-run DFAC III on mainside. It has become a weekly routine for me, CWO2 Smith (Katie) and CWO2 Fergerson (the Utilities Maintenance Officer). It's when I allow myself a cheeseburger, onion rings, and potato/macaroni salad, and sometimes ice cream with caramel sauce. It's the little things that get you through the week!
